It all began with the simple love of a sweet horse named
In the early 90s our dream became reality, We purchased our “Little Piece Of Heaven”. Bob and I both being raised on a farm always wanted to get back to our roots here in the Heartland of beautiful Alberta. Starting from scratch on a bare piece of land was a true blessing. Over the years we have raised acres of flowers for drying, angora goats, pheasants, cattle, ducks, cats, hay and have now ventured into the miniature horse world. Our mini horse interest all started with SUGARFOOT We so loved that little man, so when the opportunity was there we became his new family.
Having a whole crew of animals greeting us each and every day is Truly a blessing. I love making and doing all kinds of hobbies. Watercolor and acrylics are two of my favorites. From leather carving, sewing moccasins, bead work, jewelry making, photography, sculptures, wood carving……well I guess you could say l love to do it all. Just show me a new new project and away we go.
Sugarfoot was born and raised in the heart of the Heartland, in the foothills of Alberta. He lives less than an hour to the mountains and pretty sure he enjoys his view in his pasture. He is 17 years old and was born sometime in spring so we always celebrate March 1 as this was the day he came to live with us. He can be registered but we do not have his papers. We do not usually take him to shows anymore and he is now semi retired. He came to live at Dryed flower ranch in 2013 and was full of energy. He ended up being the best friend a little girl could have and they were inseparable. This inspired us to buy another miniature named Roanie they are best friends and always are close by each other.READ MORE
